Sal Locascio - Guitar/Vocals

A New York local and creator of the band “Mazzard Effect “, Sal is both the musical and lyrical writer for the band.  He also co-engineered, arranged and produced the album “Flooded With Light “.  Mazzard Effect was formed as Sal’s  solo project (which he began writing material for in early 2008 and recorded at his independently run studio, “Purple Chimney Studios”).  Sal has played in multiple projects over the years including other bands, solo gigs, pit music, various ensembles and has intensely studied various genres of music both in and out of school.  Outside of The Mazz, Sal is a working guitarist, arranger, engineer, and producer for hire.  He is also a music professor and a sound recording lab technician at Nassau Community College in New York.

Dan Keene – Guitar

Dan has been with Mazzard Effect since 2010. The active New York guitarist and lutenist has been involved with many different projects over the years, all varying in instrumentation and style. Dan regularly performs on the Classical, acoustic, and electric guitar as well as the Renaissance lute in chamber concerts, recitals, off-Broadway productions, at a variety of distinguished events, and with Mazzard Effect.
